Sonnet Vii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

LIKE an enfranchised bird who wildly springsA
With a keen sparkle in his glancing eyeB
And a strong effort in his quivering wingsA
Up to the blue vault of the happy skyB
So my enamour'd heart so long thine ownC
At length from Love's imprisonment set freeD
Goes forth into the open world aloneC
Glad and exulting in its libertyD
But like that helpless bird confined so longE
His weary wings have lost all power to soarF
Who soon forgets to trill his joyous songE
And feebly fluttering sinks to earth once moreF
So from its former bonds released in vainG
My heart still feels the weight of that remember'd chainG
