Sonnet Iii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCB DDDDEFEFAA

THE FORNARINAA
-
AND bless'd was she thou lovedst for whose sakeB
Thy wit did veil in fanciful disguiseC
The answer which thou wert compell'd to makeB
To Rome's High Priest and call'd her then 'Thine Eyes '-
Tho' of her life obscure there is no traceD
Save where its thread with THY bright history twinesD
Tho' all we know of her be that sweet faceD
Whose nameless beauty from thy canvass shinesD
Dependent still upon her Raphael's fameE
And but recorded by her low degreeF
As one who had in life no higher claimE
Than to be painted and be loved by theeF
Yet would I be forgot as she is nowA
Once to have press'd my lips on that seraphic browA
