Satan Speaks (ii) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDEFFGHIIJKLLMM CCNNOO

I am the Lord your God even he that madeA
Material things and all these signs arrayedA
Above you and have set beneath the raceB
Of mankind who forget their Father's faceB
And even while they drink my light of dayC
Dream of some other gods and disobeyC
My warnings and despise my holy lawsD
Even tho' their sin shall slay them For which causeE
Dreams dreamed in vain a never filled desireF
And in close flesh a spiritual fireF
A thirst for good their kind shall not attainG
A backward cleaving to the beast againH
A loathing for the life that I have givenI
A haunted twisted soul for ever rivenI
Between their will and mine such lot I giveJ
White still in my despite the vermin liveK
They hate my world Then let that other GodL
Come from the outer spaces glory shodL
And from this castle I have built on NightM
Steal forth my own thought's children into lightM
If such an one there be But far awayC
He walks the airy fields of endless dayC
And my rebellious sons have called Him longN
And vainly called My order still is strongN
And like to me nor second none I knowO
Whither the mammoth went this creature too shall goO
