Rhyme Scheme: ABCABDEFBBAG

I picked a stone so preciousA
A gold they saidB
But unrefined i thought it wasC
I threw it in the furnaceA
To extract a medal so honouredB
But a coal it becameD
Fragile breaking at the slightest touchE
The precious stone was no moreF
I picked another a nut they saidB
Not like the lost goldB
That burnt in the furnaceA
Never to returnG
