A gold they said | B |
But unrefined i thought it was | C |
I threw it in the furnace | A |
To extract a medal so honoured | B |
But a coal it became | D |
Fragile breaking at the slightest touch | E |
The precious stone was no more | F |
I picked another a nut they said | B |
Not like the lost gold | B |
That burnt in the furnace | A |
Never to return | G |
