There'll Be No One In The House... Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DBEF GBHI BJBB BBKL MBLB

There'll be no one in the houseA
Save for twilight All aloneB
Winter's day seen in the space that'sC
Made by curtains left undrawnB
-
Only flash past of the wet whiteD
Snowflake clusters glimpsed and goneB
Only roofs and snow and save forE
Roofs and snow no one at homeF
-
Once more frost will trace its patternsG
I'll be haunted once againB
By my last year's melancholyH
By that other wintertimeI
-
Once more I'll be troubled by anB
Old unexpiated shameJ
And the icy firewood famineB
Will press on the window paneB
-
But the quiver of intrusionB
Through those curtains folds will runB
Measuring silence with your footstepsK
Like the future in you'll comeL
-
You'll appear there in the doorwayM
Wearing something white and plainB
Something in the very stuff fromL
Which the snowflakes too are sewnB
