The Weeping Garden Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFG ADAH ABAB AIAI

It s terrible all drip and listeningA
Whether as ever it s lonelinessB
splashing a branch like lace on the windowC
or whether perhaps there s a witnessB
-
Choked there beneath its swollenD
burden earth s nostrils and audiblyE
like August far off in the distanceF
midnight ripening slow with the fieldsG
-
No sound No one s in hidingA
Confirming its pure desolationD
it returns to its game slippingA
from roof to gutter slides onH
-
I ll moisten my lips listeningA
whether as ever I m lonelinessB
and ready maybe for weepingA
or whether perhaps there s a witnessB
-
But silence No leaves tremblingA
Nothing to see sobs and criesI
being swallowed slippers splashingA
between them tears and sighsI
