Sometime At A Concert Hall, In Recollection... Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEFE FGHG IJKL FMNO PQRS STUT

Sometime at a concert hall in recollectionA
A Brahms intermezzo will wound me I'll startB
Remember that summer the flowerbed gardenA
The walks and the bathing the tryst of six heartsC
-
The awkward shy artist with steep dreamlike foreheadD
Her smile into which one would dive for a whileE
A smile as good natured and bright as a riverF
Her artist's appearance her forehead her smileE
-
They'll play me some Brahms I will shudder surrenderF
And in retrospection the sounds will evokeG
That faraway summer the hoard of provisionsH
My son and my brother the garden the oakG
-
The artist would stuff in her overall pocketsI
Her pencils and objects with fanciful namesJ
Or would inadvertently dropping her paletteK
Turn much of the grass into colourful stainsL
-
They'll play me some Brahms I'll surrender rememberF
The stubborn dry brushwood the entrance the roofM
Her smile and appearance the mouth and the eyebrowsN
The darkened verandah the steps and the roomsO
-
And suddenly as in a fairytale sequenceP
The family neighbours and friends will appearQ
And memories crowding I'll drown in my weepingR
Before I have time to have shed all my tearsS
-
And circling around in a swift intermezzoS
Embracing the song like a treetrunk at noonT
Four families' shadows will turn on the meadowU
To Brahms's compelling and childhood clear tuneT
