Railway Station Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFGH IJKL KMCM CNOP

My dear railway station my treasureA
Of meetings and partings my friendB
In times of hard trials and pleasureA
Your favours have been without endB
-
My scarf would wrap up my whole beingC
The train would pull up with deep sighsD
The muzzles of brash harpies leeringC
Would puff wet white steam in our eyesD
-
I'd sit at your side for a momentE
A hug and a kiss brief and roughF
Farewell then my joy and my tormentG
I'm going conductor I'm offH
-
And shunting bad weather and sleepersI
The west would break open I'd feelJ
It grab me with snowflakes to keep meK
From falling down under the wheelsL
-
A whistle dies down echoed weaklyK
Another flies from distant tracksM
A train comes past bare platforms sweepingC
A blizzard of many hunched backsM
-
And twilight is rearing to goC
And lured by the smoke and the steamN
The wind and the field rush and nowO
I wish I could be one of themP
