It Is Not Seemly To Be Famous... Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIJ KLKL FMCM NOPO QRKR

It is not seemly to be famousA
Celebrity does not exaltB
There is no need to hoard your writingsC
And to preserve them in a vaultB
-
To give your all this is creationD
And not to deafen and eclipseE
How shameful when you have no meaningF
To be on everybody's lipsE
-
Try not to live as a pretenderG
But so to manage your affairsH
That you are loved by wide expansesI
And hear the call of future yearsJ
-
Leave blanks in life not in your papersK
And do not ever hesitateL
To pencil out whole chunks whole chaptersK
Of your existence of your fateL
-
Into obscurity retiringF
Try your development to hideM
As autumn mist on early morningsC
Conceals the dreaming countrysideM
-
Another step by step will followN
The living imprint of your feetO
But you yourself must not distinguishP
Your victory from your defeatO
-
And never for a single momentQ
Betray your credo or pretendR
But be alive this only mattersK
Alive and burning to the endR
