I Would Go Home Again-to Rooms... Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBB CDED FGBG HIJI KILI MNON PQBQ

I would go home again to roomsA
With sadness large at eventideB
Go in take off my overcoatB
And in the light of streets outsideB
-
Take cheer I'll pass the thin partitionsC
Right through yes like a beam I'll passD
As image blends into an imageE
As one mass splits another massD
-
Let all abiding mooted problemsF
Deep rooted in our fortunes seemG
To some a sedentary habitB
But still at home I brood and dreamG
-
Again the trees and houses breatheH
Their old refrain and fragrant airI
Again to right and left old winterJ
Sets up her household everywhereI
-
Again by dinner time the darkK
Comes suddenly to blind to scareI
To teach the narrow lanes and alleysL
She'll fool them if they don't take careI
-
Again though weak my heart O MoscowM
I listen and in words composeN
The way you smoke the way you riseO
The way your great construction goesN
-
And so I take you as my harnessP
For the sake of raging days to beQ
That you may know our past by heartB
And like a poem remember meQ
