Eve Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFG BHGH IJIB KLML NOPO QRQR

By water's edge quiet willows standA
And from the steep bank high noon flingsB
White fleecy clouds into the pondC
As if they were a fisher's seinesB
-
The firmament sinks like a netD
A crowd of sunburnt bathers diveE
With yells into the pond and headF
For this elusive netlike skyG
-
Some women from the water riseB
Under the scanty willows' leeH
And stepping on the sand wring dryG
Their bathing costumes hurriedlyH
-
The coils of fabric twist and slideI
Like water snakes and nimbly rollJ
As if the dripping garments hideI
Beguiling serpents in their foldsB
-
woman neither looks nor shapeK
Will nonplus me or make me gloatL
You all of you are like a lumpM
In my excitement stricken throatL
-
You look as if hewn in the roughN
A stray verse line dashed off ad libO
You make me think it is the truthP
That you were made out of my ribO
-
And instantly you broke awayQ
From my embrace and moved apartR
All fear confusion disarrayQ
And missing beats of a man's heartR
