| I just know there are battles to fight | B |
| Not afraid of them | C |
| Just very aware | D |

| Woke up this morning | E |
| And there were really battles to fight | B |
| Fights I knew nothing about | F |
| Fights that were there all along | G |

| Maybe somewhere am scared | H |
| Maybe I really can't gauge | I |
| Maybe they will be gone tomorrow | J |
| But then today's reality is one of a battle | K |

| I think someone trained me for this | L |
| Or else how can I explain the fearlessness | L |
| About this raging battle | K |
| Any sane person will be scared | H |

| I think I know how spells victory on this margin | M |
| If I know no more anger then I have won | M |
| Perhaps I have unknowingly won the battle of fear | N |
| But the battle of love how might I win | O |

| Not of fear that I seem to know | J |
| But of love which I am lost of knowledge for | P |

| Seeks not her own believes all things | L |
| Hopes all things is not puffed up | A |
| Hates iniquity rejoices in truth | T |

| Maybe when I seek not my own I win | O |
| Maybe when I learn to hope I win | O |

| I lack strength to fight | B |
