Vision like a shrapnel callously exploded
Upon nude desolate battlevenues
Flying everywhere mine tickled dread welling
Up to the brim -
Disturbed frostbitten thoughts crack
Out of jittery doorrattle;
Confusion imprisoned.
Of fear , of pain , of the military oppression-weight
Plan draft objective aim in aim
On the fragile wingfeathér of hope hung at ease -
The future in formidable fighting stances
Exhibits numerous deft attacking acrobatics,
The courage to tread towards the bosom
of tomorrow,
like mist suddenly vanishes
Tearing the bravergarb into rages of
Suicidal compliance
On the vice of autocracy the citizens are squeezed
into bloody urine for the stinking urinary basin.
The status quo resurface frowning
Not with hope and victory
But with bleakness: a shrapnel
brutally discarded everywhere
all over Zimbabwe's gloom-gulped silent
towns and cities.
