When Norse nature's dowerA
Tones will paint with powerB
There is more than mountain heights that towerB
Plains spread wide extendingC
Whereon at their wendingC
Summer nights soft dews are sendingC
-
Forests great are growingC
And in long waves goingC
Glommen's valley fill to overflowingC
There are green slopes vernalD
Glad with joy fraternalD
Open to the light supernalD
-
For revealing whollyD
All things fine and holyD
As in sunshine birds are soaring slowlyD
Or their spells transmittingC
Northern Lights are flittingC
None but maiden hands are fittingC
-
-
YourE
hands came and playingC
O'er their secrets strayingC
Picture after picture are portrayingC
As the poet dreamed themF
In soul travail teemed themF
Till your artist hands redeemed themF
-
Now their light far flingingC
We see flashing swingingC
Sparks as from your father's humor springingC
Now there meets us nigherE
Mirroring the higherE
Mother's eye of softer fireE
-
Child heart tones are holdingC
All our minds and moldingC
So its faith the wide world is enfoldingC
While your sweet sounds sallyD
Truth to tell and rallyD
Maiden blonde from Glommen's valleyD
