Rhyme Scheme: ABABACAD EFEFGHEH IJIJKLKL AMAMAMAM CN NOPOQ

Norrona race's longingA
It was the sea's free waveB
And fight of heroes throngingA
And honor that it gaveB
Their thoughts and deeds upspringingA
From roots in Surtr's fireC
With branches topward swingingA
To Yggdrasil aspireD
-
His course alone each guidedE
Oft brother harm was doneF
Our vict'ries were dividedE
The honor gained was oneF
Each heard his call time fatedG
First Norway Denmark cameH
The Swede the longest waitedE
But greatest grew his fameH
-
In eastern western regionsI
The Danish dragons shoneJ
To Norway's roving legionsI
Jerusalem was knownJ
From sparks the Swedish spiritK
Struck forth in Poland's nightL
Through L tzen must inheritK
Full half the world its lightL
-
First Norseman Dane agreeingA
In trying times were foundM
But Saga's will far seeingA
By little men was boundM
Then Norseman Swede agreeingA
Time in its fullness foundM
And Saga's will far seeingA
Shall nevermore be boundM
-
There is prophetic powerC
In longing hearts of menN
Foretells our union's hour '-
For great deeds once againN
Each festival so gloriousO
To solemn vows us drawsP
Forever be victoriousO
Our blood's our race's causeQ
