Space Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH IJK LMN

From the trees the leaves came downA
until we joined hands with a wandB
and that act enabled themC
somehow then to reach the groundD
-
where they scuttered round our feetE
urging the latter to uniteF
with a baton as if that actG
together with the hands can claspH
-
a dowsing stick cut from the sameI
branch from which we launchedJ
converging on gravity's purge pointK
-
at which point we merged to removeL
all consonants from our star mapsM
The infinite consists of vowels aloneN
