To William Camden Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGF

Camden most reverend head to whom I oweA
All that I am in arts all that I knowA
How nothing's that to whom my country owesB
The great renown and name wherewith she goesB
Than thee the age sees not that thing more graveC
More high more holy that she more would craveC
What name what skill what faith hast thou in thingsD
What sight in searching the most antique springsD
What weight and what authority in thy speechE
Man scarce can make that doubt but thou canst teachE
Pardon free truth and let thy modestyF
Which conquers all be once o'ercome by theeF
Many of thine this better could than IG
But for their powers accept my pietyF
