The Noble Balm Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACCDDEFFE GHHGIIJJKFLK

High spirited friendA
I send nor balms nor cor'sives to your woundB
Your fate hath foundB
A gentler and more agile hand to tendA
The cure of that which is but corporalC
And doubtful days which were named criticalC
Have made their fairest flightD
And now are out of sightD
Yet doth some wholesome physic for the mindE
Wrapp'd in this paper lieF
Which in the taking if you misapplyF
You are unkindE
-
Your covetous handG
Happy in that fair honour it hath gain'dH
Must now be rein'dH
True valour doth her own renown commandG
In one full action nor have you now moreI
To do than be a husband of that storeI
Think but how dear you boughtJ
This fame which you have caughtJ
Such thoughts will make you more in love with truthK
'Tis wisdom and that highF
For men to use their fortune reverentlyL
Even in youthK
