On Giles And Joan Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBAACCDDEEFGHHAA

Who says that Giles and Joan at discord beA
Th' observing neighbors no such mood can seeA
Indeed poor Giles repents he married everB
But that his Joan doth too And Giles would neverB
By his free will be in Joan's companyA
No more would Joan he should Giles riseth earlyA
And having got him out of doors is gladC
The like is Joan But turning home is sadC
And so is Joan Ofttimes when Giles doth findD
Harsh sights at home Giles wisheth he were blindD
All this doth Joan Or that his long yearned lifeE
Were quite outspun The like wish hath his wifeE
The children that he keeps Giles swear are noneF
Of his begetting and so swears his JoanG
In all affections she concurreth stillH
If now with man and wife to will and nillH
The self same things a note of concord beA
I know no couple better can agreeA
