On Elizabeth L. H. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCDEEFGHH

Wouldst thou hear what Man can sayA
In a little Reader stayA
Underneath this stone doth lieB
As much Beauty as could dieB
Which in life did harbour giveC
To more Virtue than doth liveD
If at all she had a faultE
Leave it buried in this vaultE
One name was ElizabethF
The other let it sleep with deathG
Fitter where it died to tellH
Than that it lived at all FarewellH

Ben Jonson
