A Poet-s Thought Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAB DEDFE GHGGH

TELL me what is a poet s thoughtA
Is it on the sudden bornB
Is it from the starlight caughtC
Is it by the tempest taughtA
Or by whispering mornB
-
Was it cradled in the brainD
Chain d awhile or nurs d in nightE
Was it wrought with toil and painD
Did it bloom and fade againF
Ere it burst to lightE
-
No more question of its birthG
Rather love its better partH
T is a thing of sky and earthG
Gathering all its golden worthG
From the Poet s heartH
