Frogs In Chorus Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEEEE FFGGEEEE HIJJKKKK LLMM

The chorus frogs in the big lagoonA
Would sing their songs to the silvery moonA
Tenor singers were out of placeB
For every frog was a double bassC
But never a human chorus yetD
Could beat the accurate time they setD
The solo singer began the jokeE
He sang As long as I live I'll croakE
Croak I'll croakE
And the chorus followed him Croak croak croakE
-
The poet frog in his plaintive toneF
Sang of a sorrow was all his ownF
How shall I win to my heart's desireG
How shall I feel my spirit's fireG
And the solo frog in his deepest croakE
To fire your spirit he sang eat cokeE
Coke eat cokeE
And the chorus followed him Coke coke cokeE
-
The green frog sat in a swampy spotH
And he sang the song of he knew not whatI
The world is rotten oh cursed plightJ
That I am the frog that must set it rightJ
How shall I scatter the shades that lurkK
And the old man bullfrog sang Get workK
Work get workK
And the chorus followed him Work work workK
-
The soaring spirits that fain would flyL
On wings of hope to the starry skyL
Must face the snarls of the jealous dogsM
For the world is ruled by its chorus frogsM
