I'm sorryA
I know have hurt you immenselyA
I liedB
I didn't mean to neither did I realize I was till of lateC
I could tell you of all the dreams I've had of us though that will probably be of no comfortD
I fought with the truthE
thought I would prevail over itF
-
I didn't mean to hurt youG
-
I won't lie and say I know the extent of pain you are feelingH
I don't have a heart like yoursI
-
I layed on a bed of hopeJ
covered with fantasyA
I thought my editionsK
would make it realL
-
I bared the surface of my soulM
though covered with flowersN
a spring bloomO
You weren't aware that it was a breed of cactusP
-
We don't often want what we haveQ
I painted a picture of sunflowers and white rosesR
never intending to lure youG
neither have I known you to like artS
-
My motion of gentle brush strokesT
has earned me a title of deedsU
a good eye for fine artS
are you one of my piecesV
none like fortuneW
but light upon this museum of wonderX

Poet's note: Date is September ,I wrote it for someone I tried beyond caring about and I want to apologize for the blind hope of a union filled with love .Writing this piece forced me to be mostly honest with myself and be fair with the one I cared for
