| unfolded wings and flew like gulls | R |
| An old German in a green Homburg | S |

| In a garden in Pasadena my father | U |
| posed in Navy whites while overhead | M |
| silver dirigibles moved like great whales | V |
| And in the narrowing tunnel | B |
| of the dream s end I flew down | W |
