Rhyme Scheme: AABB CDEE FGHG IJIJJThe mind is a fertile soil | A |
On it must something toil | A |
Either a positive thought is planted | B |
Or negative thoughts sprouted | B |

Whether one or the other grows | C |
Is always of ones controls | D |
For by diligence must one plant seeds | E |
Or by negligence tend weeds | E |

And as one ship sails east | F |
Thus moved by the great wind | G |
And yet the other flows west | H |
Propelled thither by the same wind | G |

So too our thoughts are | I |
Tarmac to climb us high | J |
High up bove yonder star | I |
Or down low to a dim dense sigh | J |
And all lust hath root in the eye | J |
