The Brook Leaps Riotous Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDECDE

The brook leaps riotous with its life just foundA
That freshets from the mountain rains have fedB
Beats at the boulders in its hindered bedB
And fills the valley with its triumphing soundA
The strong unthirsty tarn sunk in deep groundA
Has never a sigh wherewith its wealth is saidB
Has no more ripples than the May flies treadB
Silence of waters is where they aboundA
-
And love whatever love sure makes small boastC
'Tis the new lovers tell in wonder yetD
Oh happy need Enriched stream's jubilant gushE
But who being spouses well have learned love's mostC
Being child and mother learned not nor forgetD
These in their joyfulness feel the tarn's strong hushE
