Once Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBBCACA DEEEFDFD GHHHIJIG

I SET a lily long agoA
I watched it whiten in the sunB
I loved it well I had but oneB
Then summer time was doneB
The wind came and the rainC
My lily bent lay lowA
Only the night time sees my painC
Alas my lily long agoA
-
I had a rose tree born in MayD
I watched it burgeon and grow redE
I breathed the perfume that it shedE
Then summer time had spedE
The frost came with its sleepF
My rose tree died awayD
Only the silence hears me weepF
Alas lost rose tree lost lost MayD
-
The garden's lily blows once moreG
The buried rose will wake and climbH
There is no thought of rain and rimeH
After next summer timeH
But the heart's blooms are weakI
Once dead for ever o'erJ
Not night not silence knows me seekI
My joy that waned and blooms no moreG
