Not Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABA BCB CDC DED EFE FGF GHG IJI JIJ

I HAVE not yet I could have loved thee sweetA
Nor know I wherefore thou being all thou artB
The engrafted thought in me throve incompleteA
-
And grew to summer strength in every partB
Of root and leaf but hath not borne the flowerC
Love hath refrained his fullness from my heartB
-
I know no better beauty none with powerC
To hold mine eyes through change and change as thineD
Like southern skies that alter with each hourC
-
And yet are changeless and their calm divineD
From light to light hath motionlessly passedE
With only different loveliness for signD
-
I know no fairer nature nor where castE
On the clear mirror of thine own young truthF
The imaged things of Heaven lie plainer glassedE
-
Nor where more fit alike show tender ruthF
And anger for the right and hopes aglowG
And joy and sighs of April hearted youthF
-
But some day I so wont to praise thee soG
With unabashed warm words for all to hearH
Shall scarcely name another speaking lowG
-
Some day methinks and who can tell how nearI
I may to thee unchanged be praising theeJ
With one not worthier but a world more dearI
-
With one I know not yet who shall maybeJ
Be not so fair be not in aught thy peerI
Who shall be all that thou art not to meJ
