My Loss Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAABB CDCCDD EFEEFF GHIGHH

IN the world was one green nook I knewA
Full of roses roses red and whiteB
Reddest roses summer ever grewA
Whitest roses ever pearled with dewA
And their sweetness was beyond delightB
Was all love's delightB
-
Wheresoever in the world I wentC
Roses were for in my heart I tookD
Blow and blossom and bewildering scentC
Roses never with the summer spentC
Roses always ripening in that nookD
Love's far summer nookD
-
In the world a soddened plot I knowE
Blackening in this chill and misty airF
Set with shivering bushes in a rowE
One by one the last leaves letting goE
Wheresoe'er I turn I shall be thereF
Always sighing thereF
-
Ah my folly Ah my loss my painG
Dead my roses that can blow no moreH
Wherefore looked I on our nook againI
Wherefore went I after autumn's rainG
Where the summer roses bloomed beforeH
Bloomed so sweet beforeH
