Miles And Miles Of Here And There Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABA BCB CDC DED EE

MILES and miles of here and thereA
Our eager river forced its wayB
Bent to be it knew not whereA
-
It had no rest in delayB
And for its haste it had no aimC
Wherefore go But wherefore stayB
-
Here and there led both the sameC
By any winding it could makeD
Near its secret goal it cameC
-
When it reached the crystal lakeD
It knew its aim and found its restE
All the miles were for love's sakeD
-
Mid the blue hills of the westE
Our river lies in the lake's breastE
