| Soft veins are turning limpid like glass and | I |
| roots are opaque as a gravestone | J |
| embraced twixt repulsive grass blades that | K |
| count unwanted obligations sworn | L |

| A pink bud at the tip of stem | M |
| is closed like a book not read | N |
| living solely on crystal raindrops | O |
| that fall as elixir on the dead | N |
| - | |
| Sap from the shoot shall dry ere long | P |
| and breezes shall be cold as the north pole | Q |
| when the old grey rock with true care | R |
| shall possess warm teardrops to console | Q |
