Serata Di Fiesta Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAA CDDCC BEEBB FGGFF HIIHH JKKJJ

Here in a city made for loveA
I wander loveless and aloneB
Longing for the unknownB
Desiring one thing only and aboveA
Desire in love with loveA
-
The beauty of the starlight diesC
Over the city as a flowerD
Droops an unheeded hourD
Ah barren beauty when no lovelier eyesC
Behold it as it diesC
-
I wander loveless and aloneB
Alone with memory she singsE
Of other wanderingsE
Even London half divine had I but knownB
What 'tis to be aloneB
-
Had I but known Could I but knowF
If here or here for surely hereG
The answer waits my earG
Some lips my lips some hands my hands but ohF
Could these could I but knowF
-
We seek each other can I doubtH
For man is man and woman kindI
And he who seeks shall findI
World without end but how to ravel outH
The inextricable doubtH
-
I am a shipwrecked sailor lostJ
For lack of water on the seaK
Water but none for meK
Water but I thirsting and fever tossedJ
In much abundance lostJ
