O Flame Of Living Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCABC DEFDEG HIJHIK LMBLMB

O flame of living loveA
That dost eternallyB
Pierce through my soul with so consuming heatC
Since there's no help aboveA
Make thou an end of meB
And break the bond of this encounter sweetC
-
O burn that burns to healD
O more than pleasant woundE
And O soft hand O touch most delicateF
That dost new life revealD
That dost in grace aboundE
And slaying dost from death to life translateG
-
O lamps of fire that shinedH
With so intense a lightI
That those deep caverns where the senses liveJ
Which were obscure and blindH
Now with strange glories brightI
Both heat and light to his beloved giveK
-
With how benign intentL
Rememberest thou my breastM
Where thou alone abidest secretlyB
And in thy sweet ascentL
With glory and good possessedM
How delicately thou teachest love to meB
