Hesterna Rosa Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCA DEED FGGF

When a girl's fancy flutters to a manA
It is but as a bird that flies and criesB
She has a winged thing's April memoriesC
Of sunshine and the morning Spring beganA
-
Love at her heart importuning a trystD
Finds in her senses little heed of itE
But her bright lips most girlishly admitE
The simple homeliness of being kissedD
-
Kiss and be friends or when the kissing closesF
Part as we were together merely friendsG
Why should we weep because the summer endsG
And some sweet moments ended with the rosesF
