By The Pool Of The Third Rosses Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DECE DFCF DCGC DHGI

I heard the sighing of the reedA
In the grey pool in the green landB
The sea wind in the long reeds sighingC
Between the green hill and the sandB
-
I heard the sighing of the reedsD
Day after day night after nightE
I heard the whirring wild ducks flyingC
I saw the sea gull's wheeling flightE
-
I heard the sighing of the reedsD
Night after night day after dayF
And I forgot old age and dyingC
And youth that loves and love's decayF
-
I heard the sighing of the reedsD
At noontide and at eveningC
And some old dream I had forgottenG
I seemed to be rememberingC
-
I hear the sighing of the reedsD
Is it in vain is it in vainH
That some old peace I had forgottenG
Is crying to come back againI
