At Tarragona Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGHGHIJIK LMLM

If I could know but when and whyA
This piece of thoughtless dust beginsB
To think and straightway I am IA
And these bright hopes and these brave sinsB
That have been freer than the airC
Circle their freedom with my spanD
If I could know but why this careC
Is mine and not the care or manD
Why thus unwilling I rejoiceE
And will the good I do not doF
And with the same particular voiceE
Speak the old folly and the newF
If I could know seeing my soulG
A white ship with a bending sailH
Rudderless and without a goalG
Fly seaward humble to the galeH
Why knowing not from whence I cameI
Nor why I seek I know not whatJ
I bear this heavy separate nameI
While winds and waters bear it notK
And why the unlimited earth delightsL
In life not knowing breath from breathM
While I that count my days and nightsL
Fear thought in life and life in deathM
