| I will arise and set my face to the sea | A |
| Among stranger folk and in the wandering ships | B |

| The world is great and the bounds of it who shall set | C |
| It may be I shall find somewhere in the world I shall find | D |
| A land that my feet may abide in then I shall forget | C |
| The woman I loved and the years that are left behind | D |

| But if the ends of the world are not wide enough | E |
| To out weary my heart and to find for my heart some fold | F |
| I will go back to the city and her I love | G |
| And look on her face and remember the days of old | F |
