The Perfect Present Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDDECE

SO I have kissed you And this hour is mineA
Its light along the level future lastsB
It crowns a drab eternity of PastsB
Here soul and soul have crossed the border lineA
Of self and merged No years can e'er untwineA
This hour from us What though to morrow castsB
The memory out and your cold glance contrastsB
With this day's rich red lips need I repineA
No I have kissed you And the brief warm flowerC
Born of our lips perfumes eternityD
From the long loneliness that silentlyD
Stretches behind before I am contentE
To cull this blossom of one perfect hourC
To snatch one star from Time's deep firmamentE
