My Land Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCEFG

A NEW land like a stainless flower setA
In the green foliage of the waving seaB
Or like a maiden whose fair heart is freeB
Whose honest eyes with no sad tears are wetA
Whose bosom has no passion to forgetA
But thrills and lifts exuberant as sheB
Voices some sudden flooding melodyB
A land of strength life vigour youth and yetA
An old land grey as I her child am greyC
Filled with the whispers of old thoughts that stirD
And wake like shadows of the past that playC
Deep in the beauty of a child's grave eyesE
And show beneath life's gladness glancing thereF
The pathos of a hundred historiesG
