Love And Life Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

IA
AS some faint wisp of fragrance floating wideB
A pennant perfume on the evening airC
From a walled garden flower filled and fairC
To drape a sudden beauty long deniedB
Upon life's highway desolate and driedB
So come you to me as I unawareC
Bend my strict eyes upon my pathway bareC
But at your presence straight I turn asideB
And passing in the garden see uncurledB
The heart of hidden beauty in the worldB
And love as life's one blossom is revealedB
My backward glance your floating tresses blindB
About my struggling hopes your white arms windB
And I have yielded but how sweet to yieldB
-
IIA
Yet in the prison of the garden boundB
The sluggish perfumes o'er my spirit fallD
And I lie languid in their sweetness' thrallD
Beneath the fragrance of much beauty drownedB
When through the fountain's murmur lo a soundB
Insistent and reproachful O'er the wallD
Drops a faint echo of the Earth's deep callD
And I leap upright from the rose strewn groundB
Outside the bracing wind sings clean and chillE
Outside are tasks to do blows to be struckF
And I must toil the dreary highway tillE
It broadens to the fields of death Yet ereC
I leave for aye your perfumed close I pluckF
A shrivelled blossom that I kiss and wearC
