The Bunkhouse Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHIHJJCJ KLCLMJJJ

The bunkhouse on the cattle ranchA
Was lowly but at nightB
When its small window was aglowC
We hurried in that lightB
And merrily we trooped withinD
And flung our saddles downE
And there were tales for all to hearF
Told by the plainsmen brownE
-
The bunkhouse walls were papered o'erG
With scraps from everywhereH
With pictures of great battleshipsI
And ladies who were fairH
And all could read strange bits of newsJ
While many comrades' scrawlsJ
Were written there illegiblyC
Upon the bunkhouse wallsJ
-
I've traveled many miles since thenK
But oft when sets the sunL
I think about the bunkhouse lowC
Where cowboys one by oneL
Came strolling in to chat and smokeM
And play a game of cardsJ
I'd even stand for their long snoresJ
Where are you good old pardsJ
