Voices Of Earth Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDEFGFGEE

We have not heard the music of the spheresA
The song of star to star but there are soundsB
More deep than human joy and human tearsC
That Nature uses in her common roundsB
The fall of streams the cry of winds that strainD
The oak the roaring of the sea's surge mightE
Of thunder breaking afar off or rainD
That falls by minutes in the summer nightE
These are the voices of earth's secret soulF
Uttering the mystery from which she cameG
To him who hears them grief beyond controlF
Or joy inscrutable without a nameG
Wakes in his heart thoughts bedded there impearledE
Before the birth and making of the worldE
