To The Cricket Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCADEEDDE

Didst thou not tease and fret me to and froA
Sweet spirit of this summer circled fieldB
With that quiet voice of thine that would not yieldB
Its meaning though I mused and sought it soA
But now I am content to let it goA
To lie at length and watch the swallows passC
As blithe and restful as this quiet grassC
Content only to listen and to knowA
That years shall turn and summers yet shall shineD
And I shall lie beneath these swaying treesE
Still listening thus haply at last to seizeE
And render in some happier verse divineD
That friendly homely haunting speech of thineD
That perfect utterance of content and easeE
