The Railway Station Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDCEFE

The darkness brings no quiet here the lightA
No waking ever on my blinded brainB
The flare of lights the rush and cry and strainB
The engines' scream the hiss and thunder smiteA
I see the hurrying crowds the clasp the flightA
Faces that touch eyes that are dim with painB
I see the hoarse wheels turn and the great trainB
Move labouring out into the bourneless nightA
-
So many souls within its dim recessesC
So many bright so many mournful eyesD
Mine eyes that watch grow fixed with dreams and guessesC
What threads of life what hidden historiesE
What sweet or passionate dreams and dark distressesF
What unknown thoughts what various agoniesE
