Temagami Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDEFFGHGI| Far in the grim Northwest beyond the lines | A |
| That turn the rivers eastward to the sea | B |
| Set with a thousand islands crowned with pines | A |
| Lies the deep water wild Temagami | C |
| Wild for the hunter's roving and the use | D |
| Of trappers in its dark and trackless vales | E |
| Wild with the trampling of the giant moose | D |
| And the weird magic of old Indian tales | E |
| All day with steady paddles toward the west | F |
| Our heavy laden long canoe we pressed | F |
| All day we saw the thunder travelled sky | G |
| Purpled with storm in many a trailing tress | H |
| And saw at eve the broken sunset die | G |
| In crimson on the silent wilderness | I |
