Snowbirds Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCBAD EFGFEG HIEIHEAlong the narrow sandy height | A |
I watch them swiftly come and go | B |
Or round the leafless wood | C |
Like flurries of wind driven snow | B |
Revolving in perpetual flight | A |
A changing multitude | D |
- | |
Nearer and nearer still they sway | E |
And scattering in a circled sweep | F |
Rush down without a sound | G |
And now I see them peer and peep | F |
Across yon level bleak and gray | E |
Searching the frozen ground | G |
- | |
Until a little wind upheaves | H |
And makes a sudden rustling there | I |
And then they drop their play | E |
Flash up into the sunless air | I |
And like a flight of silver leaves | H |
Swirl round and sweep away | E |
