Refuge Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH

Where swallows and wheatfields areA
O hamlet brown and stillB
O river that shineth farA
By meadow pier and millB
-
O endless sunsteeped plainC
With forests in dim blue shroudsD
And little wisps of rainC
Falling from far off cloudsD
-
I come from the choking airE
Of passion doubt and strifeF
With a spirit and mind laid bareE
To your healing breadth of lifeF
-
O fruitful and sacred groundG
O sunlight and summer skyH
Absorb me and fold me roundG
For broken and tired am IH
