Reality Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCAADEDEA| I stand at noon upon the heated flags | A |
| At the bleached crossing of two streets and dream | B |
| With brain scarce conscious now the hurrying stream | B |
| Of noonday passengers is done Two hags | A |
| Stand at an open doorway piled with bags | A |
| And jabber hideously Just at their feet | C |
| A small half naked child screams in the street | C |
| A blind man yonder a mere hunch of rags | A |
| Keeps the scant shadow of the eaves and scowls | A |
| Counting his coppers Through the open glare | D |
| Thunders an empty wagon from whose trail | E |
| A lean dog shoots into the startled square | D |
| Wildly revolves and soothes his hapless tail | E |
| Piercing the noon with intermittent howls | A |
