Music Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCA DEFEFDMove on light hands so strongly tenderly | A |
Now with dropped calm and yearning undersong | B |
Now swift and loud tumultuously strong | B |
And I in darkness sitting near to thee | A |
Shall not only hear and feel but shall not see | A |
One hour made passionately bright with dreams | C |
Keen glimpses of life's splendour dashing gleams | C |
Of what we would and what we cannot be | A |
- | |
Surely not painful ever yet not glad | D |
Shall such hours be to me but blindly sweet | E |
Sharp with all yearning and all fact at strife | F |
Dreams that shine by with unremembered feet | E |
And tones that like far distance make this life | F |
Spectral and wonderful and strangely sad | D |
