Music Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCA DEFEFD

Move on light hands so strongly tenderlyA
Now with dropped calm and yearning undersongB
Now swift and loud tumultuously strongB
And I in darkness sitting near to theeA
Shall not only hear and feel but shall not seeA
One hour made passionately bright with dreamsC
Keen glimpses of life's splendour dashing gleamsC
Of what we would and what we cannot beA
-
Surely not painful ever yet not gladD
Shall such hours be to me but blindly sweetE
Sharp with all yearning and all fact at strifeF
Dreams that shine by with unremembered feetE
And tones that like far distance make this lifeF
Spectral and wonderful and strangely sadD
