Morning On The Lië"vres Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDEBCE FFGHGHIJIJAAKLKL MNMOOPQFNQPRARFSAAS

Far above us where a jayA
Screams his matins to the dayA
Capped with gold and amethystB
Like a vapour from the forgeC
Of a giant somewhere hidD
Out of hearing of the clangE
Of his hammer skirts of mistB
Slowly up the woody gorgeC
Lift and hangE
-
Softly as a cloud we goF
Sky above and sky belowF
Down the river and the dipG
Of the paddles scarcely breaksH
With the little silvery dripG
Of the water as it shakesH
From the blades the crystal deepI
Of the silence of the mornJ
Of the forest yet asleepI
And the river reaches borneJ
In a mirror purple greyA
Sheer awayA
To the misty line of lightK
Where the forest and the streamL
In the shadow meet and plightK
Like a dreamL
-
From amid a stretch of reedsM
Where the lazy river sucksN
All the water as it bleedsM
From a little curling creekO
And the muskrats peer and sneakO
In around the sunken wrecksP
Of a tree that swept the skiesQ
Long agoF
On a sudden seven ducksN
With a splashy rustle riseQ
Stretching out their seven necksP
One before and two behindR
And the others all arowA
And as steady as the windR
With a swivelling whistle goF
Through the purple shadow ledS
Till we only hear their whirA
In behind a rocky spurA
Just aheadS
